Today, I went shoe shopping. It was time to replace my workout shoes. They were pretty worn out and had some mileage on them.
I am not usually a slave to certain labels, but when it comes to shoes, I have my favorites. For running/working out I swear by Saucony. I have narrow heels and Saucony shoes are designed for that specific issue.
Fit is important. You really need to make sure that your shoes fit comfortably. You should know what kind of arch you have. You need to know your pronation type. Ultimately, you have to try on both shoes and walk around in them to make sure you have the right fit.
After searching their website for the version I wanted, I headed to DSW. Normally, I would go to a runner specialty store, but I had a coupon and I just didn't want to deal with the having to find a clerk and go through the whole "May I help you" thing. I pretty much know how Saucony shoes fit on me. I must have tried on at least 10 pairs of shoes before I finally found the right fit. I ended up with the earlier version of this shoe (DSW usually carries the previous season's shoe).
I am so excited. I can't wait to try them out!!!
