I am very hopeful that the warmer weather looming on the horizon will revive my efforts at regular exercise. I've managed a walk a week - but I'm being gracious in how I define walk: quickly around the neighborhood during a work break; slowly on a walking trail with a friend; wandering about the cities I've visited lately. I know, every little bit helps but I need do a bit more.
The good thing is that I'm eating better. Through a series of events that I won't bother to relate, I'm paying attention to what I eat these days and, more importantly, doing something about it. Just simple stuff: making sure I eat something from the vegetable and fruit family every day; avoiding fried food as much as possible; drinking more water; eating smaller portions. Yes, the peanut butter M&Ms are still much in evidence - but I find that I don't want them as much as I did. That's something.
