yeah, the song's in my head.
I completed my weekly obligation Friday. I lifted weights and in between sets I jump rope. I'm a bit uncoordinated so I count the jumps to see how many I can do in a row. I once got to 33 w/o tripping myself up. For weight lifting I focus on my arms b/c they're fairly weak.
I have a few goals with all this really:
1) lose weight
2) increase my heart's endurance/cardio endurance so that I don't get out of breath doing stupid stuff
3) strengthen my back. My back hurts all the time. I abs are pretty strong just not visible b/c of the fat. My back is not. So for a few days this last week I did some back exercises (simple pilates based ones) and I've been noticing a difference.
My ultimate goal is to do the weights/jump rope twice a week and the back exercises at least 3 times (I can do that on the busier days since it takes a lot less time). This week will be the first week of trying to do the weight things twice a week--it's my last week before work starts up. After that is when I really need the support!
Looks like we've all been doing pretty good! Let's keep it up!

I have upper back problems, around the thoracic area. It gets really painful when I am bent over a computer or grading for long periods of time. I do reverse flys and shoulder presses to help that area.
Jumping rope is great. I wish I was that coordinated!!!!
