Back in the Game

I just got back from doing this week's 30 minutes of cardio and I feel SO much better than I did last week. I had been looking forward to checking out the new branch of my gym that was built in my neighborhood last month so I decided today was the day. The new gym is FABULOUS. All of the equipment is brand new, the staff is really friendly and the lockeroom was spotless. One of my biggest problems with the branch I go to near work is that I always felt like the "fat girl" in the room, but I found that (at least today) the age and fitness level of the other gym goers was much more varied. In fact, nearly all of the women had the same body type as me. I definitely didn't have that "get my 30 minutes in and get out of here" feeling that I normally have at the branch near work. I think I finally found a place I feel comfortable working out. I actually can't wait to go back!

YAY!!!

I think when you like what you are doing and have a great place to do it, that is half the battle.

One of the reasons why my husband and I joined the Y was because neither of us wanted to be in the "meat market" that surrounds most gyms. At our Y, there are real people, all different shapes, sizes, etc.. The staff is great too.

Cheers to you and keep up the good progress!!!!
