Hi everyone! I'm another new contributor. I just defended my thesis in July and am doing some serious job hunting while I debate the PhD track.
Some general facts about me:
I'm married, no kids, and haven't held a solid work-out plan ever. My whole family is into it though, and so is my husband. I didn't really start to put on weight until the marriage, and then much more with major moving changes, and grad school. Top it off, both of us suffer from depression, so there's the whole sleeping/eating battle! I am currently the heaviest I've ever been and need to lose at least 25 pounds to be healthy and not have the joint problems I have now. I'm 5 ft, and 135. Not so pretty on a petite frame.
My biggest obstacles are motivation, keeping it up, and not getting down on myself--about eating, exercising or anything. I don't have a lot of recipes to contribute but hope that I can use this to hold myself accountable and actually get to a healthy weight. My husband has a massive CD collection so as I come across interesting workout music, I'll definitely share it. Look forward to this whole project!!
