My Turn

Kai inspired me to ask my own question:

If you're sweating your butt off while cleaning your house (it's super muggy here today) does it count as exercise? My shirt is literally soaked. What's the qualifications?

I believe housecleaning that involves sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, bending and lifting, counts as "moderate physical activity." Whereas dusting, ironing, straightening up would count as "light physical activity."

I have no idea how muggy sweat fits in.

haha. like I iron. :) let's see...it's been sweeping and lifting. I was thinking of taking the time I spend cleaning and cutting it in half as far as counting it towards my "minutes for the day".

It TOTALLY counts! Anything that gets your heart rate up counts!! Cleaning, dancing around the house and grooving to my ipod are my favorite ways to exercise!
