May Update

It's day 4 of May and so far so good. Eating-wise I realized that I've been straying a bit too far from my goal of eating more "whole" foods and less processed, so I've gotten back on track with cooking more and staying away from convenience foods. I'm also kept up with daily, healthy breakfasts which has been my biggest change yet.

Workout wise, I'm doing ok, not great, but much more active than usual. I just can't keep up with a regular gym schedule, but I'm still taking 20-30 minute walks either at lunch or after work, so I'm happy with that. I've done one day of resistance training work with the bands, but I need to find the video that game with mine, or google some workouts because I'm not sure I'm doing it right.

May is a tough month for me to keep up with my routine...it's birthday month for me and the temptation to drink and eat cake is too much to resist! I have to try to do my best though, next month I'll be donning a swimsuit for my vacation to Mexico....yikes! I better hit the gym!

Having a trip is a great motivator. I go away twice a year and that is my motivation.
