I thought I wasn't getting any exercise this week, but this morning I woke up with some sore leg muscles. I've been walking very fast to and from campus, and it is not the kind of exercise I had in mind, but, in this hectic week, it's been better than nothing.
I've been in a rush every morning, because I somehow psyched myself into thinking I have an awful boss waiting in my office who is going to kill me if I arrive on campus after 9am. I've tried other things, this is the only motivating image that gets me in my office, and, when I'm running late, it has the added bonus of making me speed walk the 25-30 minutes to campus every morning. I've never been that great at creating internal structure for myself, and though this seems really nuts, for this week, I'm just happy that it has worked. As Seal puts it, "We're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy."

Good for you for finding an alternative. Just be careful with the sore muscles. Try a NSAID for the soreness. Also, make sure your shoes are a good fit.
