stop the world because....

....i EXERCISED yesterday. really and truly! you'd think with no job since august i'd have made plenty of time for burning calories even if i didn't do the eating right thing. alas, all i did was spend two months hopping from coffee shop to coffee shop with my laptop wasting time on teh internets. then i gave away or sold almost everthing i owned and moved - across the country. and just this week i finally got a real job offer. and yesterday was the first day i felt like getting off my dimpled ass and getting my heart rate up for a reason other than the fact that i have no money.

i went for a 20 minute run*/walk. here's the breakdown:
4:00 - walk
2:00 - run
2:00 - walk
2:00 - run
2:00 - walk
2:00 - run
2:00 - walk
1:00 - run
3:00 - walk

it wasn't bad at all. actually it was fun. even though i was tired during the last two 2:00 run cycles, i could keep going becuase dude, it's only 2 minutes. and i think i could do that exactly workout any day - even when i work up to being able to actually run i could use this a light workout. except for maybe today when it randomly SLEETED here. ok it's not that random here, on the east coast. but i'm still used to sunny california.

i was worried about my foot since i technically still have plantar fasciitis. and in fact my foot, ankle and knee felt a little wierd after the run. but then this AM and today they haven't hurt much more. i think in the end i'll have to find a gym so i can do something a little less impact, but still it's all good i think.

also i have made a few good eating choices. i've been eating out a lot since i don't really have a place to cook (although i totally can where i'm staying now i don't often do it). for the past two weeks though i haven't gotten french fries when that was an option. instead i got a salad with fat free dressing a few times and fruit once. hooray!

Cheers to you for getting back on track. I am so happy for you. It sounds like life in general is getting better.

You may want to ask you doc about what kind of shoes would provide the best support for you.

Keep up the great progress!!!!
