Countdown and Update

On November 25th, I am attending my 20th high school reunion. That is two months from now. I am hoping to lose somewhere between 15-20 pounds, although I think 15 might be more realistic. I am at the same weight for the last couple of weeks, so I think I need to step it up.

Today, I stepped up my treadmill work. I sustained a speed of 4.0 MPH for 10 minutes and I am up to 2.15 miles in 35 minutes. I try to increase my speed by a few minutes each work out session until I can sustain the entire workout at a given speed. Also, I had to adjust my weight lifting schedule. I now do three circuits of upper body work following my cardio. I thought that I could do cardio and strength on alternate days. But, I realized that I need a day off between workouts, hence the change. I should not have change my schedule in the first place, I did the same thing over the summer, and it worked fine. As the saying goes "If it ain't broke...."

Eating has not been much of a problem. Back in May, my husband and I limited our take-out consumption to once a week. We found that we looked forward to our "take-out night". We also found that with our new healthy eating habit, we could no long stand gressy take out food. So, now we order out from some of our favorite restaurants. Last week was Indian...yummy! Also, I have made some good choices, especially at lunch when it is tempting to eat out instead of bringing a lunch.
