Play On!

Seeking Solace here! Thanks to Prof Me for inviting me to the party. I hope I will provide insight, thoughts and inspiration to all out there. I am working on a post about my exercise journey since reconnecting with regular exercise back in January.

I thought I would start out by posting a couple of playlists that are great workout music. One of the greatest motivations for me is good music. The playlists are created by yours truly and have songs that include a warm up and cool down. Suggestions and comments are welcome!

The first one is an old one that was posted on my blog back in February and is one of my faves! It's about 50 minutes.

1. Possession, by Sarah McLachlin (My absolute favorite Sarah song!)
2. Only Happy When It Rains, by Garbage
3. Buddy Holly, by Weezer
4. Learn to Fly, by Foo Fighters
5. The Difference, by the Wallflowers
6. What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?, by REM
7. Are You Gonna Go My Way?, by Lenny Kravitz
8. It’s All Been Done, by Barenaked Ladies
9. Mysterious Ways, by U2
10. Broadway, by Goo Goo Dolls
11. At the Hundredth Meridian, by the Tragically Hip (Awesome Canadian band!)
12. One, by U2
13. Sunny Came Home, by Shawn Colvin

July's workout playlist pays homage to 70's FM rock. It's about 45 minutes long.

1. Take It Easy by the Eagles
2. Band on the Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
3. Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealers Wheel
4. Baby Hold On by Eddie Money
5. Running on Empty by Jackson Browne
6. The Boys are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy
7. Long Train Runnin' by The Doobie Brothers
8. Reelin' in the Years by Steely Dan
9. Saturday in the Park by Chicago
10 The Things We Do for Love by 10cc
11. Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac

Enjoy!

No problem. I think music helps you get moving! Plus, when the songs are done, you are done!!

How often do you change up your playlists, SS?

I try to chance every two or three weeks, so I don't get too bored or sick of the same songs. Some of my playlists reflect my mood; like if I am in a bad mood, I have an angry mix or if I need a little push, I have an inspiration mix.

I will try to post new playlists about every two weeks.
