mid-week report

I've been reading everyone's posts about exercise, and not wanting to do it, and I completely get it. I rarely want to exercise, and the posts about positive self-talk are really helpful.

I just wanted to report in and say that basically as soon as I last posted with goals for the week, I got sick, with a sinus infection that's still making me miserable. So I have been unable to exercise (well, do much of anything, really). And while I haven't necessarily been ravenous (except yesterday when I got lunch really late and was all shaky/hungry), like betty, when I feel like crap, my good intentions about what to eat go out the window. So yes, I have eaten desserts this week.

So, so much for the goals I posted. But I am telling myself that although it doesn't look like I'll be able to meet my goals for this week, that doesn't mean I can just give up and put off healthiness till next week. So I am going to put the last three days behind me and look at the rest of the week as a new start. I won't be making it to yoga (bending over makes my head hurt!), but I will take a couple of gentle walks.

And the one good thing about being sick? The doctor told me I need to drink a lot, like 2-3 liters of fluid a day. So at least I'll be well-hyrdated!

Sinus infections really suck. I hope you feel better soon.

Don't worry about your goals. You'll give 'em hell when you are better!

So sorry to hear you're sick! Sinus infections are icky.

But I do think it's good that you are trying to not completely let go. I do that a lot! Good luck!

Way to have a positive attitude about getting back on track! Although you lost a few days the entire week is not lost.
