The return to my fitness routine is going well. My arms are a little sore from all the gardening and yard work I did on Saturday. I waited until yesterday to do my upper body weight circuit. I am still a little sore. I thin I will break out the Bio-Freeze!
I tried a different cardio workout for the treadmill. It has a pryamid interval which is nice because you get to slowly build up to the run. The speeds in parenthesis are what I use, so adjust for your skill level.
0:00 - 5:00 Warm up
5:00 - 8:00 Steady state (3.6 MPH)
8:00 - 9:00 Slow job (4.0 MPH)
9:00 - 11:00 Stead state (3.6)
11:00 -17:00 Repeat slow jog and steady state sequence
17:00 - 18:00 Jog (4.3)
18:00 - 20:00 Steady state
20:00 - 26:00 Repeat jog level and steady state sequence
26:00 - 27:00 Run (4.5)
27: 00 - 29:00 Steady state
29:00 - 35:00 Repeat run and steady state sequence
35:00 - 40:00 Cool down
What is also nice about this workout is that it goes by very quickly! You are finished before you know it!!!!

that does sound like a good workout!
I've definitely noticed that the workouts go faster if I use the "random" setting on the treadmill or elliptical machine that varies speed/resistance. It changes it up randomly and breaks up the monotony.
**I hope it's ok I comment on your site, I'm not an academic, but I am a blog neighbor of Seeking Solace and someone who is trying to be more active and lose some weight.
Absolutely! You are more than welcome! The more, the better!
I am so glad you are making such great progress!!!!!
