Walking Progress

After walking on the treadmill 5 days last week, I've only managed 3 days of walking this week. The good news is that I walked OUTSIDE today for a change. It cooled off enough and the humidity dropped, so that it was actually in the 60s this morning- what a wonderful change! I hadn't walked outside in a LONG time and I kind of went overboard- I walked 3.6 miles in about 58 minutes. This is much faster than I walk on the treadmill (I usually walk about 3.5 mph- and this was about 3.7 mph). It was also further than I've been walking (3.6 miles rather than 2.75). I can tell you I was exhausted by the time I got home. I also listened to music again (hooray). I had a playlist from last fall on shuffle. It has 25 tracks, so I didn't listen to the whole thing and they didn't play in this order (since it was on shuffle). Here's what I heard:
  • Coldplay -– Shiver
  • Incubus -– Drive
  • Soundgarden -– Burden in My Hand
  • The Stone Roses -– Love Spreads
  • Madonna -– Don'’t Tell Me
  • Depeche Mode -– Enjoy the Silence
  • Pernice Brothers -– Weakest Shade of Blue
  • Everclear -– Santa Monica
  • Peter Gabriel -– Solsbury Hill
  • U2 -– Red Hill Mining Town
  • Stone Temple Pilots -– Interstate Love Song
  • Madonna -– Music
  • Supergrass -– Cheapskate (one of my favorites- but it's TOO short!)
  • Pearl Jam - Black
So, I can't feel too bad about my walking progress, since I'm still averaging 4 days a week. It will be interesting to see how I do when the semester starts!
