You may remember that about two weeks ago I was literally bedridden with a back injury. Let me just say: one of the least fun experiences of my life. If I hear the phrase "Hmmm, that shouldn't have bothered it," one more time, I'm going to lose it.
That said, after two weeks of considerable discomfort moving around, I am much improved. I also managed to maintain my weight despite my inactivity. Unfortunately my gym membership expired while all the hullabaloo was going on, so at this point I'm just going to wait for the fall class session to start and it to be free again.
Recommended exercises for sore lower backs are low impact: walking, swimming, bicycling. I ride my bicycle back and forth to campus and managed to do that even when I probably should not have. In addition to that I've been trying to get in some decent walking on my lunch break, but oppresive heat stopped me several times last week. I would swim, but I'm quite afraid to try on my swimsuit. I really need one with more chest support and I can't afford a new one.
My goals for now are to eat healthier and to be active for at least twenty minutes in addition to my bike rides. My sister is getting married in October and I want to look nice in my dress. I'm the Maid of Honor and the pictures will last forever.
Time to get pedaling to the lab or I'll be late. I'm hoping to put up a playlist of some of my favorite "get moving" songs soon.

Now that summer is almost over, have you checked end of season sales for swimwear? Usually, you can get some good deals.
